This page answers the most frequently asked questions about our CEWE Community.
Anyone over 18 who has ordered a CEWE photo product in the past six weeks is eligible to participate. Currently, this includes the CEWE PHOTOBOOK and CEWE CALENDAR. More product groups will become available soon.
Anyone with a valid email address can join the CEWE Community.
Yes, you may use your real name or a pseudonym. Please note, the name can’t be changed later. The name you provide during registration will be used in the Community.
It does not matter from which CEWE location you placed your order. Currently, the CEWE Community is only accessible through the German website, but this service will be offered internationally soon.
CEWE is always interested in new customer examples. When we discover a submission that fits our needs, we contact the author. If explicit permission is granted, the product becomes an official customer example.
You can submit CEWE PHOTOBOOK and CEWE CALENDAR examples in any format, binding, cover and paper quality—there are no additional restrictions.
Your CEWE product must be designed using our software or a partner's software and ordered online. Submission by sending your files on CD/DVD is not possible. For CEWE CALENDARS, only online orders can be accepted as Community customer examples.
You will find your customer and order number in your order confirmation and on your invoice, both of which were sent to your email address.
After your customer example is approved and published in the Community, you will receive a voucher worth €10.
The vouchers for submitting customer examples are valid for up to three years.
Each product is checked by CEWE before it appears in the gallery, to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions (see link in the footer). After approval, it will be displayed, but the review process can sometimes take several days.
If you include a map in your design using our software, CEWE purchases a one-time use license for the printed product. This license does not permit us to display the map online. We are working on alternative library solutions to enable online visibility of maps in the future.
It is not currently possible to view or filter your own favourites. We are working on this function, and it will be available soon.
View counts indicate how often your customer example has been seen by Community members. Each member can rate four categories (content, photos, design, composition) with 1–5 points. All ratings are combined to produce a total score.
If your example is not found, check the title and keywords. Try searching with a shorter title or different keywords. Recently submitted items may still be under review.
You can delete your customer example at any time at the bottom of the relevant detail page.
By submitting your customer example, you grant CEWE and affiliated companies an irrevocable, non-exclusive, indefinite license to use published customer examples for PR purposes, which includes publication on the Internet, social media, other publications (including third-party press releases), and the presentation of CEWE’s services—all within the context of the CEWE Community. Commercial use beyond this requires separate consent. For details, see our participation terms (link in the footer).
There are two main reasons: every submission is checked by a moderator before being published; content that violates the terms will be rejected. Also, if you already published and deleted an example, you cannot resubmit it.
