I investigated another nice wordcloud called Tagul.com. A lot of features and the availability to save it as png apart from jpg.

Only thing: for a high quality output you have to pay for it.

You can save it as JPG, PNG and PDF.

I also played around and found out, that you can choose the size of your wordcloud and also the file-type.
An you can set a transparent background.

Lis, thx. Don't know how I could miss it - this is a standard user interface for saving data... Probably my view was obstructed by too many digits

When I played around with wordcloud I noticed after a while that my computer was slowing down noticeably. The TaskManager revealed that FireFox was eating up an enormous amount of memory and used a two-digit percentage of CPU. After closing down the wordcloud page (and only this one) every thing was OK.

Did anyone else experience this?

Sure. All sites that generate a wide tracking about your FF usage do that. Not optimally written Java Code adds to this. Use offline WC-Generators instead, eg. the Wordalizer Plugin for Adobe InDesign.

I have been looking at all your samples again and I really like them very much. My favorite is the one with 2017 in great numbers and smal 2017'er inside. Would it be much to difficult to tell how you did it? How did you get the numbers inside "2017"?

Or perhaps I could ask you to mail the page to me?
