Hello everybody,

I have seen here in this thread that some of you have helped creating nice pages. I hope you can help me, too. If I only can find out how to post my book. (I could not, but can you take me to a similar nice book)

The Pictures are taken the day my grandson became a student (Family Pictures only!)

PS I wanted to show you the whole book but I understand it is to big to enclose, but I don't know how to send only 1 page?????

It is not possible to post your complete book here in the forum. You can only do that, if you enter it in one of the competitions. If you like to show us just one page, then open the page in your book and take a screenshot. You then have to reduce the size of the jpg to max 900x900 Pixel and not larger than 500 kb.

But how do I make a screenshot? I thought it was a screenshot but I don't know, because then I get the whole screen?

How to reduce the Picture?

I like to use this freeware (FastStone Capture 5.3): http://www.giga.de/downloads/faststone- ... able-free/

- you can select a window for the screenshot
- you can add own drawings and text (explanations)
- you can resize (maximum dimensions of a picture in this forum: 900 x 900 pixel)
- you can save as jpg

Here is your other page. Yes, I think you may correct some little things. It is very easy. This is only a very simple version.

the color in the background: pick a color out of the picture (here: jacket)
put all pictures of the same layout-line and in the same size (or in a clearly other size)
put the text of the same line
use a simple font
create a real headline (give a statement)
put more space in the middle
put the same space of each page to the left and right (mirrored)

cewe offers you a lot of designs. Ask for more.

Now that I see the other pages, I must admit they are a bit boring. Better to pick just the best photos and give them space. The first picture with the pink background shows a black door and nothing much more that would be of interest. The first picture with the blue background is out of focus, I would remove that one. Pitty explained the rest.

Now I only ask for one more thing, please: The book's cover - I don't like it as it is, but again - I have no ideas.

Dear Lis,

if you install the freeware irfanview, you can resize yourself the screenshot-file very easy with
Ctrl+R (the same as "IMAGE" --> "Resize/resample image" in the menu): That means for your cover-example:
Dimension before resizing: 1095 x 422 pixel
Dimension after resizing: 900 x 334 pixel
